You will work as part of the Benefits and Financial Support Team within the Anti-Poverty Service.  The team are responsible for the administration of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, Scottish Welfare Fund, Non-residential Social Care Financial Assessments, Education Grants and Blue Badge/ National Entitlement Cards.

The Benefit and Financial Support Officer will be expected to provide a flexible approach to the provision of tasks being allocated and it will focus on crisis grants, blue badge/NEC entitlement cards,and education grants to support the service’s aim to increase automation of processes. Through effective organisation and control of the workload you will ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective service to our customers including complying with statutory timescales and performance requirements.

Attention to detail, effective communication skills and the ability to work in a confidential environment are essential in this post.
