Winchburgh Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the community of Winchburgh in West Lothian. The school shares a campus with Holy Family Primary School.
For session 2019 - 20, the school roll including nursery is 351. The school is staffed by a Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and 15 Class teachers and an Early Years Team of 2 Early Years Officers, 9 Nursery Nurses and 6 Pupil Support Workers working across school and nursery.
Winchburgh PS offers pupils a wide range of learning experiences. We manage continuous improvement through robust self-evaluation and implementation of the school improvement plan
Our school is an integral part of the local community both educationally and socially. Strong links also exist with Linlithgow Academy and the cluster primary schools, Parent Council and our partner agencies.
Our priorities for session 2019 – 20 are:
- Raising attainment for all, particularly in literacy and numeracy
- Closing the attainment gap between the most and least advantaged children
- Improvement in all children and young people’s wellbeing
- Improvement in employability skills ans sustained, positive school leaver destinations for all young people.
We are aiming to recruit Clerical Assistant to be part of our team and move the school forward as the community of Winchburgh grows.
The post is part time with an allocation of 18.5 hours per week.
