Reporting to the IT Service Centre Manager, this is a post within the new IT Services structure and is critical in the delivery of effective and efficient IT Services. As an IT Engineer your challenge is to build, deploy and maintain West Lothian Councils IT Infrastructure using the latest technologies. This infrastructure extends to Unix Server applications, Networking technologies, Internet Connections, Windows Desktop, Mobile Devices and Application Packaging and Deployment.
The post will work closely with the IT Service Desk and other IT Engineer posts within the team covering areas including providing an excellent IT service provision to all of our customers.
This permanent role provides an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the new IT structure within West Lothian Council IT Services.
IT Services structure is based on ITlLv3 and you must have a solid understanding, knowledge and experience of good practice.
Applicants will have proven experience implementing and supporting client and server management technologies in a multi-site, multi-security profile compliance organisation, including a minimum of three years working within a Microsoft SCCM environment.
