The Property Project Manager will lead and manage on specific complex, high profile and therefore challenging identified projects. Projects will include those in sensitive locations that may involve multiple ownerships and require the formation of development partnerships with private sector investors to enable effective and efficient delivery.
Due to the complex nature of these projects the postholder will require to lead on a range of complex activities to resolve barriers to delivery. To achieve this will require considerable influencing and management skills. The postholder will be expected to liaise (and provide instructions where appropriate) with Legal Services (including external advisors), Financial Management, development funders, external professional advisors, contractors and statutory / regulatory bodies.
A key objective of the role is to ensure the projects are delivered to meet council objectives within approved programme timescales, recognising budget parameters and best value, whilst ensuring appropriate governance and reporting.
The skills and experience you must have:
- Educated to degree level in project management or construction related discipline
- Relevant professional qualification (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor, Royal Institution of British Architects, Royal Incorporate of Architects in Scotland etc, Engineering Council etc)
