Outdoor Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Cover)

Kinder Croft are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and nature loving practitioner to join our friendly staff team for a period of Maternity Leave cover. Kinder Croft is a Community Interest Company and we deliver high quality, Outdoor Early Years Education for our local community.

We are a small and dedicated team. We are looking for someone who is experienced in Early Years Education, a good team player and has excellent communication skills. It is essential that you share our passion for supporting play based learning experiences for children outdoors. As a member of the team you will contribute to the overall vision and ethos of the nursery, ensuring the best standards possible for children, families and staff.

Person specification:

• Available Tuesday to Friday. 8.30am - 4.30pm and some school holidays.

• To contribute to a nurturing, safe and child - centred learning environment, for children aged 3 - 7 (3 - 14 during Holiday Clubs).

• To work as part of a small and dedicated team in the daily running of the nursery.

• Understand the demands and benefits of working outdoors, in an active role, in all weathers.

• Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or equivalent. Or be willing to work towards this.

• All staff are required to undergo PVG Disclosure Checks.

• We will provide opportunities for training that is relevant to working in an outdoor, play based setting.

• You will need access to transport to reach the nursery site at Leckmelm, 3 miles south of Ullapool. Car share options are available.
