Based within Edinburgh College’s highly successful Commercial Development Team, the purpose of this role is to generate commercial income for the college through building long term partnerships with companies and organisations across a variety of industry sectors aligned to Edinburgh College expertise.

Working closely with a number of teams across the college, including Faculty Heads, Curriculum Managers, UK and International Commercial Development colleagues, you will account manage an existing base of high-profile clients, whilst proactively identifying opportunities to sell additional bespoke training to generate commercial income for the college.

The post holder will be expected to identify opportunities to cross sell other college services and offerings, including commercial scheduled courses and apprenticeships.

You will have the ability to build long term partnerships with internal curriculum teams and external clients; generate new business opportunities and work to challenging income targets. Key to your success in this role will be the ability to account manage key clients, whilst taking a project management approach to a very demanding workload.

It would be desirable for the post holder to have previous experience of working in a training environment, combined with an understanding of commercialisation activities within the college sector. It would also be desirable for the post holder to have a good understanding of the Scottish Government’s economic growth and skills strategies for Edinburgh and the wider regions.
