Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting post of Data & Systems Administrator.

What you can expect

Provide support and guidance to Curriculum Managers and Heads of Centre on the rules and regulations associated with credits and appropriate curriculum structures.

To ensure that suitable management information systems and associated procedures are set up, maintained and developed in line with all current funding body requirements.

An eye for detail is essential as is excellent verbal and written communication.

The successful candidate will have the ability to deal confidently with system support issues and must have excellent IT/computer skills and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

After appropriate training, you will be expected to assist in the production of training materials for use by College staff (user guides, video tutorials, etc.) and to assist in training sessions either in a group situation or on a one to one basis.

You will be expected to be able to take decisions on course framework issues, which may be complex & unique and to work flexibly in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

What you can offer us

Excellent IT/Computer skills and a familiarity with Database software.

Extensive experience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of standard Microsoft Office products - for example, Excel, Word, Skype and Access packages

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure the provision of effective advice and guidance to staff and Students.

The successful candidate may be required to work at any Edinburgh College campus.
