We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team to support the development and growth of the college’s international commercial work.

The International Business Advisor will lead on new business development in key international markets as set out by the International Business Manager, in line with the college’s International Strategy, including sourcing consultancy, TVET and English language delivery, student and professional short course groups, international student recruitment for our mainstream programmes and English language summer school, in-country partnerships and teacher training opportunities.

The post will take a lead in creating, identifying and accessing new commercial opportunities; developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders both nationally and internationally; providing high-quality proposal development; and will actively seek to grow income for the college by scoping and developing commercial opportunities in both the public and private sectors internationally on behalf of the college, both independently and through consortium partnerships.

You will have a proven track record of achieving targets and income generation in a business development role, ideally in an international and/or educational context. With excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, you will have experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be educated to degree level with a good knowledge of the FE and HE Sector in Scotland, the UK and internationally. It is also essential that you have a good understanding of cultural differences and working internationally, including engaging with clients and stakeholders where English is not their first language.
