Location - You will be employed initially at Edinburgh College: Cross Campus, but you may be required to serve at other workplaces and to travel during the course of your employment.

Role/Subject Specific Information

Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting post of Instructor.

The Professional Cookery, Hospitality, Events and Retail team are looking to recruit a self-motivated individual to develop the skills and understanding of students within our training kitchens and out reach centres.

The successful applicant will support and develop the skills and understanding of students studying practical cookery.

What you will offer us

Applicants for this post must be able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required within a professional kitchen environment covering food preparation, cookery processes, baking skills and healthy eating using up to date industry techniques.

Candidates should be qualified to teach up to City & Guilds Level 2. You must hold a recognised craft qualification, have proven experience within the specified areas and have the ability to communicate, relate well to learners of different abilities and work effectively in a team. A background in professional food cooking/service is essential for this post.
