Hours Part Time – 13.5 Hours per week

Contract Basis Fixed term – 1 year

Salary National Lecturer Pay Scale - £34,170 - £42,357 per annum pro rata (Placement on the salary scale is dependent on qualifications and experience, as per the national guidelines)

Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting post of Lecturer in Health & Social Care

As a lecturer within the Health Professions and Social Services team you will potentially be involved in the development and delivery of SCQF Level 4 -8 health related courses. You will be joining an established team with a wealth of expertise that will support you in your new role.

Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, you will have experience of teaching Health & Social Care courses within a further education setting, it would be also desirable to possess a PDA/TQFE or teaching qualification or be willing to work towards these. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be happy to teach a wide range of students and will be able to work effectively within a team.

Applicants must be available to teach during the day and potentially during the evenings on occasion. Applicants must be able to demonstrate creative approaches to teaching, a willingness to share practice and contribute to the development of resources.

Please note that the successful candidate may be required to work at any Edinburgh College campus.
