Lecturer (Travel & Tourism) - EC00780/SF

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Travel and Tourism Department for a committed and enthusiastic lecturer. Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably experienced and qualified person to take up this post.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the tourism sector and a broad knowledge of the business of tourism. It is essential that you are educated to degree level in travel and tourism or another relevant discipline. You will have recent experience of teaching and delivering SQA qualifications, preferably in an FE setting. Experience in developing materials as well as assessing is also required.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an effective contribution to team working and the student experience. You will provide support to your students throughout their course of study and maintain records of group student attendance and achievements. You will also be responsible for preparing materials for lessons as specified within job outline and interact with students to monitor knowledge and understanding as well as providing constructive feedback to learners on their performance.
