Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting post of SVQ Assessor in Pharmacy Services for a period of 1 year.

Our assessors work on their own initiative. You'll often be out and about, meeting candidates and assessing them in their workplace. As such, you'll be responsible for your own diary and have the opportunity to do some work from home.

You will be responsible for the assessment of SVQ Pharmacy Services candidates, adhering to the SQA Assessment Strategy and Edinburgh College's quality standards and procedures. Carrying out regular visits, you will develop and maintain effective relationships with candidates from diverse backgrounds and provide monthly reports on their progress. You will maintain accurate records and provide timely feedback using College procedures and technology, meeting deadlines as required.

You must be a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist registered with the GPhC and preferably have a working knowledge of the standards for SVQ 2 and 3 Pharmacy Services. You will possess significant experience of working in a pharmacy environment, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines with little supervision and you will be pro-active, flexible, and committed to CPD and the success of our students. Moreover, you will possess ICT skills and experience, and you will also have a good working knowledge of contemporary legislation, policy and frameworks.

An A1/Land D assessor award is desirable although you must be willing to work towards this.

Please note that the successful candidate may be required to work at any Edinburgh College campus.

Please see the Person Specification and Job Description for further details.

Closing Date: 29 October 2019
