Education Scotland is Scotland’s national improvement agency for education. Our role is to provide assurance and promote improvement, from the early years to adult learning. We are committed to embedding our values of excellence, creativity, integrity and respect in everything we do. We have developed six regional teams to support an enhanced model of educational support to schools, local authorities and regional improvement collaboratives across Scotland.
The National Improvement Framework programme is a joint programme with Scottish Government underpinned by legislation which collects a range of evidence from across the country under each of the six drivers to inform the National Improvement Framework plan. The evidence is collected from a range of sources including, national censuses, local authority self-evaluation information, inspection and other evidence from Education Scotland itself. The evidence is analysed by Scottish Government Educational Analysis team to inform Scottish Ministers and the wider educational cohort of the status of Scottish Education and to support the identification of the next steps for improve.
We are currently recruiting NIF Officer who will be based in the South West Region.
