Academic & Quality Manager - Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, Fabrication & Welding and Energy

In partnership with the Academic Head and Director of Faculty, the Academic & Quality Manager will contribute to strategic planning and lead on operational management for the Mechanical, Automotive, Engineering, Fabrication & Welding and Energy subject areas. You will also provide leadership and motivational management to the curriculum team.

You will have responsibility for the successful development of this curriculum area, as well as implementation of College strategic aims and objectives through leadership of operational planning, performance, monitoring and reporting and operational management of resources.

Working closely with the Academic Head, Director of Faculty, external partners and teaching colleagues you should have an awareness and understanding of the wider college strategic planning and direction. Therefore, you should be able to build good working relationships and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

You must be qualified to HND/Degree (SCQF 8/9) or SVQ Level 4/5 in the relevant vocational area, hold a teaching qualification and also have experience relating to the curriculum areas within the Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, Fabrication & Welding and Energy Team.

You should also have experience of innovation and development of successful methodologies in curriculum and commercial delivery, effective application of national quality standards, budget management, curriculum design and planning, as well as quality audit and enhancement.
