Anticipated Start Date is as soon as possible.

With a welcoming and friendly approach you will support the delivery of the end user computing function within the campus delivery team, including the management of end user devices in teaching spaces, work spaces and communal areas, including laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, tablets, mobile phones, multifunction devices, audio/visual equipment and other end user peripherals.

You will play a key role in providing a friendly, proactive and responsive service desk function offering first and second line support to staff, learners and other stakeholders within the College, you will also be involved in cross-functional, cross-campus project teams tasked with improving and enhancing the range of solutions provided by Digital Services.

You will relish the opportunity to work independently handling end user enquiries, using your knowledge and a methodical and analytical approach to investigate complex and unusual technical issues so that root causes can be determined and solutions developed.

Educated to HND level or equivalent (SCQF level 8) in a relevant discipline or recent experience in a similar role with proven experience deploying and operating a large number of end user devices running Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and/or iOS.

Experience installing and configuring IT equipment, using desktop imaging and management tools and also mobile device management tools is essential as is experience using a service desk/help desk within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will be an excellent communicator and team player, and have the ability to explain technical matters in a clear, non-technical way, you will also have the skill to quickly and accurately diagnose hardware and software faults.
