As a Junior Developer you’ll play a key role delivering innovative, sector leading applications that help steer us to success. From mobile to web, from HR to VR, you’ll be working closely with end users across the College on a wide range of projects through the full project lifecycle.

You will work alongside excellent colleagues on a variety of projects chosen to enable you to develop a rounded understanding of how the College operates. Gaining exposure to a wide variety of technologies including our full suite of enterprise applications including our Student MIS, HR and Finance systems as well as our enterprise data hub and systems.

Educated to HND level or equivalent (SCQF level 8) in a relevant discipline or recent experience in a similar role you will have experience in the design and implementation of applications built using modern web technologies.

Experience of accessing and manipulating data using databases and / or APIs along with familiarity of at least one current application development framework is essential.

You should have an understanding of Agile and or DevOps software development processes and practices and code management/revision control.

The ability to work unsupervised to deadlines, planning and setting priorities for own work is key to the job role.
