Lecturer in Social Science

As part of the Social Sciences Team in the Faculty of Care, Social Sciences and Education, you will support students in the achievement of their learning goals through providing an appropriate, effective and engaging learning experience.

You will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the curricular area, assisting team members and the Curriculum Manager in recruiting students and evaluating learning and teaching. You will support the achievement of the operational and strategic objectives set out in the College Regional Outcome Agreement.

You must be qualified to Degree (SCQF 9). We would particularly welcome applications from those who have experience in the delivery of Sociology and /or Politics and have relevant current academic experience.

Effective communication, organisation and interpersonal skills are essential. You will have the ability to inspire, encourage and motivate others together with the desire to make a real difference to our students.
