An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Chef Manager within the Department Of Creative Industries, Hospitality and Tourism.  Reporting to the Hospitality Operations Manager, you will have a key role in supporting the overall strategic and operational management of food services across the college.  This will include provision of first-rate food services to customers, supporting the provision of first-class training for learners, and management of a range of specialist catering and hospitality resources.

You will assist the Operations Manager with the development of appropriate business opportunities to enhance the College’s reputation as a leading provider of education, training, and catering and hospitality services.  Working closely with the Hospitality Business Development Manager and EPOS coordinator, you will also manage the physical catering and hospitality resources on all three campuses.  You will be responsible for managing a team of people across the three campuses to ensure key performance indicators are met and be skilled in developing and supervising teams to deliver food services to a very high standard.  

You will work with the curriculum delivery team, and support them with their learning and teaching.  You will support with forecasting and budgeting for all three refectories so you must be able to analyse financial data.  You will also be responsible for health and safety, food safety and risk assessments throughout the hospitality department.  

You will have a professional chef qualification to HNC/HND level (or equivalent), including hygiene and significant relevant practical experience  in the hospitality and catering industry.
