We are looking for a highly skilled individual to help the college realise its Digital Ambition in the appropriate and effective application of digital pedagogy and use of technology to support learning and teaching, maximising the student experience.

Responsible for promoting and supporting the college Learning and Digital Skills Academy, this role is integral to the development of the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment and the courses hosted there, from conceptualisation and planning, to delivery and evaluation. While developing and supporting other digital learning resources, the post primarily operates as part of the Digital Skills Team within FVC and reports to the Learning Technology Coordinator.

You will play a key role in the further development of all college learning systems, the creation of digital materials and online content, and the management, development and training on a range of digital resources such as E-portfolio and student support software.

You will work with staff across the organisation to develop our online platforms and provide appropriate support to enhance the learning and teaching experience for both staff and students. In particular, you will help develop Moodle and other online platforms, and promote the Learning and Digital Skills Academy brand.  You will be a highly collaborative individual, complimented with the relevant qualifications, knowledge and experience of providing digital learning solutions and pedagogical-design support as per the role outline.

You will ideally have experience of working in an education environment, have specific knowledge, skills and experience working in the “Moodle” Learning Management System (LMS), be familiar with Microsoft Office Packages and working successfully as part of a team. You will be customer focused with good written and verbal communication skills, and will be able to work without supervision and have an organised approach to your work. You should have an HNC or equivalent in ICT or related subject area and the ECDL qualification is desirable.

Forth Valley College is a vibrant sector-leading institute for innovative creative practice and aspires to be a global leader in Digital Learning. This role represents our continued investment in Digital Learning across the college, which builds on diverse use of digitally enhanced learning and teaching. You will be based at our Falkirk campus, with some presence expected at Stirling and Alloa sites when appropriate. Remote working practice will continue and be under review to reflect government guidance and restrictions.
