Breakfast Club Playworker

The Glasgow Academy is seeking a Qualified Playworker/Early Years Practitioner to join our established team of Early Years professionals at our Breakfast Club situated within the Nursery/Kindergarten building at Langside Drive, Newlands. The hours of work are from 7.20am to 8.50am, Monday to Friday, term time.

The breakfast club looks to provide children with an excellent start to their day, offering a selection of cereals, fruit and toast with milk and water to drink. The successful candidate will set out an inviting environment that is stimulating and appealing. He/she will support children attending breakfast club where the children enjoy a healthy breakfast, then play with friends before being escorted over a very busy road, following Safeguarding policies, for the start of their school day at 8.45am.

You will require to have an Early Years/Playworker qualification, or be willing to work towards one, and be registered with SSSC at support worker level. You must be reliable, enthusiastic, flexible and able to work as part of an established team.
