The Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions brings together several functions: International Partnerships and Exchange; Marketing and Recruitment; Conversion; and Admissions. Specifically, the International Partnerships and Exchange team is responsible for supporting the university’s international partnerships and formal student and staff exchange schemes.
Working within the International Partnerships and Exchange team, the role holder’s main focus will be to support the University’s centrally-managed international mobility opportunities for outgoing students and staff.
The primary duties of the role will be to provide guidance and support for matters relating to study exchange and other international activities for outgoing students and staff. The role holder will also be expected to work closely with colleagues in support and academic departments throughout the University, overseas University representatives and key partner organisations.
The successful candidate will be educated to HNC/HND level or equivalent and will be an effective team player who can relate well \to a wide range of people and working patterns, including international students and visitors. They will have a good understanding of the value and operational requirements of exchange programmes or study or work experience abroad. They will possess good IT skills including Word, Access, Excel and Outlook (experience of web maintenance and social media would be desirable) and handling large amounts of data. The successful candidate will also have strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to multitask and work under pressure whilst maintaining close attention to detail in a busy environment.
