We are seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to contribute to the delivery of our BSc Paramedic Science and MSc Advanced Paramedic Practice programmes. The role holders will be expected to inspire learning and contribute to the enhancement of the student experience. Additionally, we will be looking for candidates to demonstrate how they will contribute to the development, delivery, assessment and administration of high quality learning and teaching for the Paramedic programmes. The role holders will be encouraged to engage in scholarly activity and/or research and to help develop the profile of the subject area in Scotland, the UK and internationally.
We wish to complement our existing strengths within the team by appointing Healthcare Professionals who are flexible, adaptable and excellent team workers. Applications are invited from experienced Registered healthcare professionals with relevant skills in emergency, urgent and unscheduled care. Applications will also be considered from registered healthcare professionals with relevant academic skills in the wider areas of research, practice education and professional practice.
Prior experience of student education or practice supervising/mentoring is essential. The role holders will be supported to develop their skills in learning and teaching and mentored to ensure a robust understanding of the responsibilities of the role and the Higher Education sector. It is expected that the successful candidates will be flexible with the ability to work independently and to use their own initiative, while also contributing to the various programme and scholarly activity teams of which they will be part.
