The main purpose of this role is to deliver teaching and learning in political history with a focus on the global south.  We are keen to hear from candidates who have expertise in colonisation and substantive areas linked to human rights, inequalities and social justice.  The candidate would be expected to make major leadership contributions to the internationalisation agenda of the department, including contributing to the Human Rights postgraduate programme.

We are seeking someone who can undertake research and publish in high quality journals and to develop the international profile of the department and related programmes. We expect that candidates will also have experience in relation to inclusive learning and student pastoral support. You would be part of a multidisciplinary team contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision.

We are looking for individuals with a PhD (or near completion/equivalent) in a relevant area and who have experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the social sciences. 

We are keen to hear from applicants with experience of interdisciplinary research. You should also have experience of module and teaching administration and research expertise in a relevant specialism.
