This is a part time (0.8FTE)/fixed term maternity cover opportunity for 12 months

Glasgow Caledonian University is looking to appoint a Programme Co-Ordinator (TNE, Doctoral & Bespoke Programmes) to work within the Directorate of School Based Professional Services. This is a 12-month maternity leave cover role.

The role holder will be a core member of the Programme Team(s) working proactively in close partnership with the Programme Leader(s)/Team(s) for the effective management and enhancement of the students’ experience of the programme(s), providing expertise and knowledge, assisting programme monitoring and the production of student data to meet quality assurance standards. They will work with colleagues across the Directorate and wider University to ensure that effective and efficient support is delivered. In particular, the main purpose of the role will be to manage the administrative elements associated with the University’s bespoke/Trans National Education (TNE) programmes, in particular playing a central role in the enhancement of University to Business (U2B) TNE activities and the delivery of an excellent student experience.

The successful candidate will be educated to HND level or equivalent and have the ability to demonstrate relevant administrative experience, preferably in a Higher Education environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, whilst you will also have the ability to work on your own initiative, to problem solve and take independent decisions when required. You should be proficient in the use and management of integrated information systems, as well as having experience of supporting and clerking formal meetings.
