The Student Enquiry, Advice & Events Department, within the wider Student Life Directorate is tasked with enhancing the student experience by managing student enquiries, events and advice. The main focus of the team is the enhancement of the overall student experience while highlighting and promoting our services and the benefits of a diverse multi-cultural and multi-faceted university experience in the promotion of student engagement, retention and completion.
The Student Communication and Engagement Assistants will perform a key role in this team by enhancing and improving the student experience. Each will work directly with allocated school(s) within the University to help enhance engagement levels while assisting to develop an individual experience for all our students. The successful candidates will also review statistics to help shape what level of communication and engagement is required for their school and relevant programmes.
The successful candidates will have gained experience in assisting with the development of communication strategies to engage a diverse audience as well as having both social media and creative writing experience. The candidate will have strong editing and filming skills to assist with developing engaging materials. They will also be a natural relationship builder and have excellent networking skills. Finally they will have excellent organisational skills and experience of planning, prioritising and organising work on a daily, weekly or monthly basis ensuring the effective use of resources and delivering to tight deadlines.
