Finance provides high quality financial information, advice and support to members of the University in planning, controlling and monitoring financial performance, providing practical help in achieving the University goals.
Finance works to enable a successful and sustainable University by delivering, promoting and supporting effective financial management and information to staff, students and other stakeholders. The Treasury team provides professional support to the University, working in collaboration with colleagues and departments across the institution (including GCNYC) The Treasury Manager role is key in delivering this support and contributing to the efficiency of the Finance functions.
Applicants should be educated to Degree level or have relevant experience with the ability to successfully lead, manage and develop a Treasury Team. You will be an excellent communicator, be enthusiastic and have a pro-active approach with sound experience at a managerial level. You will have the ability to assess and respond to situations accordingly, apply judgement and possess a high level of communication, active listening skills and excellent customer care skills. You should be experienced in change management and able to assist the team/department through such processes.
You will have significant experience in a treasury environment and have a working knowledge of the University administration. You will also have experience in the preparation and review of account reconciliations, where attention to detail is of prime importance.
Good analytical and IT skills are essential requirements.
An understanding of, and empathy with, the aims and aspirations of the University is also required.
You will thrive in a demanding environment that requires the ability to multi-task effectively and be comfortable working to tight deadlines, dealing with high volumes whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
