Integral to the Common Good mission of the university and delivering programmes within schools and colleges within Glasgow and beyond, the Widenning Participation and Outreach department are seeking to appoint a full-time Administrator for a fixed term period. The post holder will provide essential administrative support across the Caledonian Club, College Connect, Advanced Higher Hub, Care-Experienced and Estranged Student Outreach work, GCU Connect and Routes For All teams within the department.

The WP and Outreach Administrator will work closely with the team and in particular the Administration Coordinator for the organisation and management of all administrative duties within the GCU Outreach department and will work closely with the teams to ensure effective administration process are in place. The post holder’s duties will involve the recruitment, payment and work-readiness of the Student Mentors, including allocation to projects. The post holder will also provide administrative support, including meeting and diary organisation to the Head of GCU Outreach and the Outreach managers as required.

The post holder will also be working with confidential records, maintaining databases and be involved in the collation and production of reports pertaining to aspects of the departments activities.  

Widening Participaton and Outreach are looking for an individual who is qualified to a minimum of an HND level qualification in a relevant subject or possess equivalent work experience. They should be enthusiastic and flexible in their approach and be able to work as part of a team or independently. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, have a track record of good organisational and IT skills as well as possessing diary management and meeting clerk experience.
