Ideally you should have experience of working with a range of stakeholders and knowledge of the UK’s marine management system. Knowledge of marine planning and policy would be advantageous. You will need to be a highly collaborative team player, communicate openly with the Marine Spatial Planning Manager and wider team, and foster excellent relations with stakeholders and partners.

Your main duties will be to facilitate the implementation of the Shetland Marine Plan. This will involve working with a range of stakeholders to develop and implement marine projects. You will be expected to present at meetings, conferences and to the public/stakeholders and will be an active member of the wider marine planning team.

You should have a degree, Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant subject area such as marine or environmental management, planning or partnership working.

Interested persons are encouraged to contact Rachel Shucksmith for an informal discussion: rachel.shucksmith@uhi.ac.uk.

Applications close at 5pm on 27 September 2021.
