Fixed Term from March 2020 to September 2020

Hours: 18 days of delivery over the six months

Salary: £33,500 - £41,526 per annum pro-rata (Dependent on experience)

West Lothian College are looking to appoint an outstanding Lecturer who will demonstrate the necessary commitment and enthusiasm to contribute to their team. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable team within the Commercial and Marketing Centre, you will be committed to the delivery of high quality teaching and a varied learning experience, focussed on progression and employability.

Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer to contribute to the delivery and assessment of a range of courses from SCQF level 5 to level 7 in the field of Health and Safety. You will develop course materials for online and face to face learning, work flexibly and collaborate effectively with other members of the College. 

Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they have experience in the delivery of Health and Safety Training and meet the necessary requirements to be approved to teach IOSH courses at elementary and intermediate levels (Working Safely and Managing Safely). The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum SCQF Level 9 in a relevant discipline and will be a highly motivated and professional individual.  To be selected, you will be student focussed, enthusiastic, well organised and have outstanding communication skills.

A TQFE or equivalent degree and lecturing experience within the College Sector is desirable.

Salary on appointment will be dependent upon experience. Candidates with limited/no lecturing experience will be placed on the first point of the scale.
