ABOUT THE JOB

This vacancy is arising as part of the expansion of our Procurement team.

To provide support services for the procurement function and the logistics function, with a focus on continuous improvement and development of the service that will enable the capability and capacity of the Strategic Procurement Service and the P2P system across PS, SPA and Forensics.

This will encompass delivery of services that support an excellent customer experience across governance, performance, P2P and services required to ensure the efficient and professional running of the Procurement service.

Reporting to the Procurement Services Manager, you will manage and optimise key identified contracts and the supplier relationships on behalf of PS, SPA and Forensics.

Manage all key suppliers to maximise the deliverables and benefits to PSOS through professional Supplier Relationship Management and contract management processes.

ABOUT YOU

You will identify opportunities and deliver improvements across key commercial relationships to ensure a great service is being delivered by our critical suppliers.

You will be degree or CIPS Qualified. Or, have extensive procurement experience (covering P2P process, tendering, and supplier management) at a senior level in order to manage and support this significant national service.

You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and make sound strategic decisions; to communicate with all levels of business including Directors, CFO, ACC’s; to influence; and to prioritise workloads and delegate.

You will have strong leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills. excellent presentation skills; and excellent PC skills.

You will have excellent experience in both procurement and P2P environments at a senior level; experience of managing teams of skilled staff within a dynamic procurement environment; experience of P2P system roll outs and/or process change; and be experienced in Public sector procurement processes and governance.

This full time post is permanent and will require Management Level Vetting. You will work 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
