ABOUT THE JOB

To design, develop, deliver and maintain a comprehensive in house Learning & Development service, with a specialist focus on IT Training in Police Scotland.

To conduct Training Needs Analysis, engaging with key stakeholders; design, deliver and evaluate training, using multiple formats, with suitable assessment strategies in place to ensure provision of a relevant, accurate and professional training service.

Supervising students to establish that learning objectives are met to course specifications and agreed quality standards. Work with other departments to provide subject matter expertise and contribute to the change control process.


ABOUT YOU

You will be educated to a Minimum of SCQF level 8 qualification in a relevant learning and development subject; hold a Diploma in Training, Learning and Assessment (can be completed whilst in post); or hold a combination of relevant qualifications and experience in a related field.

You must have experience of training end users in IT Applications or extensive experience in the development and delivery of non-IT training to a range of audiences, with the ability to quickly upskill into the delivery of IT Training.

You will hold a College of Policing accreditation to deliver PNC, ViSOR and PND training, this can be completed in post.

Good level of digital literacy and proficiency using various software packages; and hardware such as projectors, smartboards.

Ability to work with colleagues across a national department, undertaking time critical work, with the ability to prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met.


This full time post is permanent and requires Standard Recruitment Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 0900 – 1700.
