The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of SDA Admin Support Assistant, based within the North Service Delivery Area Headquarters located in Dyce, on a temporary basis.  This is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week however, applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time, job share or flexible working basis would be considered.


The successful candidate will be required to provide effective administrative support to ensure the smooth provision of an administrative function within the Service Delivery Area. 


Previous experience within an office environment using Microsoft Office Packages (particularly MS Word and Excel) and word processing experience i.e. typing letters/reports, is required.   You should be able to work on your own initiative, possess good communication skills and have the ability to deal with information on a confidential basis and have a clear understanding of how to apply this in the service you provide.  Previous experience of minute taking is required.


The successful candidate will be required to provide cover within Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray Service Delivery Area when required.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements.  A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
