Job Description

We’re looking for a Gym Instructor to become part of the team across all our gym venues in Stirling. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is flexible, enthusiastic, can prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines. Duties include carrying out gym consultations and planning and delivering high quality programmes to support and encourage members. You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining gym equipment and the gym areas.

Requirements

A minimum SVQ level 2 gym instructor qualification is essential, as is the understanding of working in a busy gym and being able to work as part of a team. Reporting to the Health & Fitness Manager you will implement retention strategies giving members advice on fitness programs, goal setting, gym challenges, nutrition and lifestyle. You will generally be working evening and both days at weekends.

Responsibilities

Duties include carrying out gym consultations and planning and delivering high quality programmes to support and encourage members. You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining gym equipment and the gym areas.
Tasks could also include exercise referral duties, Sports Attendant duties, lifeguarding duties, membership appointments, ice facility duties, reception duties and covering classes as and when
required. To meet the requirements of the role, qualifications will be pursued and training and support will be provided over time.
