Job Description

The Multi-Sports Coach Modern Apprentices will provide high quality, fun, engaging and stimulating physical activity and sport coaching sessions across Stirling Communities and schools.
The successful candidates will deliver a variety of physical activity and sporting opportunities to children and young people of all ages and all abilities.
They will also support Active Stirling’s Holiday Club and Sports Club programmes.
During the course of their apprenticeship the successful candidate will undertake SVQ Level 3 Management with the Sports Academy of Scotland.
Within the role there is a requirement to attend other training a required by Active Stirling.


The successful applicant(s) must be passionate about physical activity and sport, have good communication skills, be able to talk too others and possess good organisational skills. They must have an interest in coaching and working with children and young people.
The successful candidates will work within a team so they must have the ability to take feedback and make a positive contribution to a team.
Successful candidates must be friendly and approachable with the ability to use their own initiative and be enthusiastic and motivated to use physical activity and sport to have a positive impact on young peoples lives.


• Deliver fun and engaging coaching sessions throughout Stirling communities.
• Coach within a variety of Active Stirling’s programmes including the Holiday Club, Sport Club and events.
• Support the Active Stirling’s Employability and Volunteering team, the Active Schools team and the Community Activation team to use physical activity and sport to have a positive impact of people’s lives.
