An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and creative practitioner to join Barnardos to work within our Young Carers Service in Aberdeen City. We are looking for someone who has knowledge and skills to help deliver a service which will meet the needs of young carers locally.
This post will have a key role to deliver and evaluate our group work program for young carers. You will be responsible for maintaining contact with young carers and their families that are identified for groups on a regular basis by undertaking video calls, phone calls or face to face contact following COVID secure guidelines.
Knowledge about young people's participation and co-production of service design and delivery is desirable. Other duties may include supporting young carers on a 1:1 basis, completing young cares statements, delivering training to a wide range of professionals, securing funding to support young carers and raising the profile of young carers both locally and nationally.
