Barnardo's CAPSM service in Fife is one of five services that provide support to children and families within Fife.

The service is well established in the area and supports children and families who are impacted by parental substance use. A vacancy has arisen within the team and this is an excellent opportunity for you to join an established team of workers who are committed to providing a high quality service to this group of children and families.

You will be required to deliver direct services to families impacted by substance use and support their recovery journey. Case loads will be low but you will be expected to work intensively with children and families for a period of up to a year.

You will have experience of working with children and families with complex needs, and a working knowledge of attachment theories in practice. Experience or a working knowledge of substance use and the impact on families is essential.

At Barnardo's we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. Our safer recruitment processes mean that the safety and welfare of the child is paramount at every stage of the process and therefore, we adopt rigorous scrutiny in our pre-employment checking. This post is subject to a range of pre-employment checks including a Criminal Records Enhanced Disclosure for the successful candidate.
