The successful candidate will be employed by Falkirk Community Trust. The Trust is a charitable company set up by Falkirk Council to deliver culture, library, recreation and sport services on its behalf from 1 July 2011.

Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Trust currently applies a living wage supplement to all employees earning less than £9.07 per hour. The value of the living wage supplement is subject to regular review by the Council and the Trust, is non-contractual and can be changed at any time.

Falkirk Community Trust are looking to appoint a Storeperson to join the Outdoor Activities Team. Reporting to the Outdoor Education Officer you will work closely with all staff across the Team to support the delivery of exciting, stimulating and challenging outdoor activity opportunities.

The post holder will be expected to ensure all equipment, bikes, vehicles and trailers are available to allow the safe delivery of Falkirk Community Trust’s provision of outdoor activities. This physically demanding post will involve maintenance and preparation duties in support of activities across both the Education and the Community Programme.

The hours of work will be 37hrs per week, Mon to Fri, with some flexibility to match the needs of the programme and may including occasional evenings and weekends. You will be required to work alone or as part of a team.

You should have experience and knowledge of either; outdoor activities, bike repair, logistics, or maintenance duties. A current First Aid Certificate would be advantageous.

A Driving Licence, with D1 minibus and D1E towing categories is essential.
