Kibble is Scotland’s specialist provider of services for at risk children and young people. By providing a range of integrated services, we help build positive futures for children and young people aged 5 plus, with complex social, emotional and educational needs.

Job Purpose
As part of our Mechanics team you will be a fully qualified, experience mechanic responsible for helping to maintain and repair the Kibble fleet based at our Kibbleworks campus. You will also be tasked with the upkeep and repair of our electric karts and other equipment at our go karting arena.
The workshop will be open and visible to visitors and you will have the ability to engage in a friendly and educational manner. This is a full-time post and you will work 5 days over 7.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• The inspection, routine servicing and maintenance of our Kibble fleet of vehicles
• The maintenance of a fully serviceable fleet of electric karts including standard, cadet, tandem and ride-on
• Management of kart documentation
• Pit lane management and marshalling as required
• Track maintenance
• Management of any part-time technicians/mechanics
• Any other duties as directed by management
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the mechanics' area and throughout the venue
• You will be responsible for training, supervising and coaching young people on training programmes

Essential Requirements
• 5+ years’ experience from an automotive repair and servicing background or equivalent
• Relevant qualification in mechanics
• Worked with systems to diagnose electrical/mechanical faults
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to learn and operate bespoke systems
• Multitasking
• Focus on customer service
• Experience of mentoring or coaching others

Desirable
• Experience in electric karting or electrical repair
• Experience in the leisure sector
• Computer literate
• Assessor qualification/Learning and Development qualification
