Job Title: Sustainable Travel & Access Manager

Salary: £39,178 - £45,667 (Band E) per annum, plus excellent pension and annual leave allowance.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday) (happy to talk flexible working)

Contract: Permanent

Location: Balloch – with hybrid working model in place

The National Park has a wonderfully varied landscape which plays a key role in all forms of outdoor recreation for residents and for visitors from near and far. The NPA works with a wide spectrum of stakeholders to ensure that the infrastructure and provision reflects the value of the place, be that be iconic paths like the West Highland Way, popular mountain paths, community path networks, cycle routes or water access opportunities.

This role will be responsible for the effective delivery of the National Park Authority’s access and recreation functions and will also have a focus on developing opportunities and actions for a modal shift towards more sustainable travel and transport options in and around the National Park. This includes the development of strategies, polices and projects to deliver a wide level of public participation and activity through sustainable travel and outdoor recreation.

Applicants should be degree qualified in a related subject and will need to evidence a proven track record in partnership working, delivering projects and managing teams. As someone who has strong policy and advocacy skills and demonstrates sound independent judgement you will understand how to approach, advise and influence both internal and external stakeholders. This key role requires a confident, credible, proactive and creative individual who is committed to driving quality improvement and good practice.
