Here at NHS 24 we employ a broad range of frontline staff in our centres nationwide including call handlers, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, health information advisors, dental nurses and special phoneline advisors within Breathing Space. We also have a number of staff supporting these services indirectly through functions such as finance, human resources, technology and resource planning.

We work in close partnership with all Health Boards and the Scottish Ambulance Service to provide essential services to patients in need of urgent advice and care during the out-of-hours period when their GP surgery is closed. We provide access to trusted health and care information and support through a range of different services, which are available to the public via a range of delivery channels, including the web, webchat and telephone. The Scottish Centre for Telehealth and Telecare is also part of NHS 24 and leads the way in delivering innovative new technology-based services to the people of Scotland.
