Partners in Advocacy (PiA) has been commissioned by NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde to provide independent advocacy for children and young people affected by the Mental Health (Care & Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 (as amended). This work will largely take place in specialist child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient units.
We are seeking to recruit advocacy workers to work with Partners in Advocacy to deliver this service. Experience of providing independent advocacy and/or working with vulnerable children and young people is desirable. PVG Scheme membership will be a requirement of the post. Full training will be provided.
