About the role

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for a team of four individuals incorporating the Building and Consultancy team. You will be responsible for leading the team on strategic sourcing activities for the corporate category aiming to achieve cost reductions whilst maintaining quality and service levels. You will be involved in the full end to end public procurement process for a range of commodities.

You will work closely with stakeholders on the development of the commodity sourcing strategies and implementation plans as well as drive commercial excellence through the implementation of these well-defined sourcing strategies.

To be successful in this post you must have a background in public sector procurement, you will also have managed a team of procurement professionals and have excellent communication skills. Experience within the Construction and New Build housing environment would also be beneficial.
