Role Purpose

A vacancy has arisen in the Hawick Homecare Office for an Assistant Homecare Manager.

Working within SB Cares - homecare organisation for Scottish Borders Council, which provides a variety of quality social care support services to the Scottish Borders.  This post is responsible for the day to day provision, supervision and quality assurance of care and support provided direct to clients within the Hawick area as part of the Care at Home Services – the team provide care services to clients within their own homes.
The purpose of this role is to ensure delivery of high quality care at home to clients in accordance with the Social Care Standards and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Code of Practice for employers and social services staff.

This posts requires a dynamic person that can adapt to the busy working environment.

Essential

• Combined SVQ3/HNC in Social Care or equivalent

• PDA in supervision in Health and Social Care services or equivalent.

• If you do not have an HNC qualification you will be required to gain the qualification within 2 years of taking up the post
