Senior IT Systems Analyst

About the role: We’re recruiting an experienced IT solutions professional to join our friendly team.

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

About the role

We are looking for a Senior IT Systems Analyst to join our friendly and professional IT Business Solutions Team. You’ll have a key role in supporting our service improvement journey and digital agenda. This includes the development of core business platforms and applications, enhancing systems and features to improve our business efficiency and service offer to Tenants and customers.

Day to day

  • Delivering IT projects and implementing IT systems architecture
  • Optimising and automating business processes that underpin best-of-breed housing services for Tenants.
  • Managing and maintaining core systems and integrations ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and up-to-date at all times.
  • Providing comprehensive second line application support across the core software applications in liaison with external support teams where required.
  • Developing and maintaining the data dictionary for SBHA ensuring core systems comply with data standards to support integrations, reporting and data analytics.
  • Supporting the data warehouse and the production of management information reporting/business analytics

Essential skills

  • Previous experience in a systems analyst/programming or similar role in a client/server environment and a good understanding of network infrastructure and technologies
  • Experience of delivering projects to manage large scale upgrades to core business systems
  • A solid knowledge and understanding of Oracle and SQL
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including partnering, negotiating and influencing customers, contractors and stakeholders
  • Team player with positive attitude and flexible approach
  • Ability to assess business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet user needs.
  • Resilience and ability to problem solve and manage competing priorities
  • The desire to improve processes and systems
