The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) is an Agency of the Scottish Government, working in partnership with organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to deliver safe and secure custodial services that empower offenders to take responsibility and to fulfil their potential. We employ over 4500 people in a diverse range of professions across our 13 prisons, the SPS College and our Headquarters in Edinburgh where this post is based.

We are looking for 2 permanent HR Managers (Policy & Reward) to join our Employment Relations and Reward Team in Headquarters who will lead on the development, review and delivery of ER&R products and services, including HR policies and procedures and pay and reward outcomes. You will also provide subject matter advice and guidance to our key stakeholders, as well as, consulting and engaging with our Trade Union Partners across a range of media.

The Successful Candidate:

· Ideally be a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) or actively working towards and likely to achieve within a 6 month period.

· Degree level qualification in an HR or business related discipline preffered

· Experienced in the design, development, implementation and review of employment relations and reward management strategies.

· Experience of interpreting and applying key aspects of employment law, taking account of organisational context.

· Experience in the management of Employee Reward or Employee Relations
