The Role (open to job share)

Scottish Women’s Aid is recruiting for the role of National Training Coordinator, based in our Edinburgh office with some local and national travel. Working closely with other Women’s Aid Federations across the UK, the role holder will take responsibility for identifying and responding to emerging national learning and development needs in relation to domestic abuse. Some local and national travel will be required.

The Organisation

Scottish Women’s Aid is Scotland’s leading voluntary sector organisation working to prevent domestic abuse and promote effective policy and practice responses for women, children and young people who experience domestic abuse. We are the umbrella organisation for 36 autonomous Women’s Aid groups delivering direct services to women, children and young people across Scotland.

What You’ll Do

Key to the role is the effective identification of emerging workforce development needs across the sector. You will develop, implement and deliver, alongside commissioned trainers, a national training programme to enable agencies to respond effectively to the changing policy and legislative landscape in relation to domestic abuse, violence against women and gender inequality.

What We Need

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of managing, commissioning and coordinating learning and development programmes, conferences and events. It’s essential that you will have a background in developing and facilitating training as well as related resources and training packs. Previous use and knowledge of developing e-learning and on-line training would be valuable.

We’re looking for someone who has

· Understanding of quality assurance in relation to learning, development and training

· Current working knowledge of policy and practice issues in relation to violence against women and children
