Big Noise Torry is growing, so we are excited to be expanding our team of Musicians/Teachers! We are looking for a Lower Strings (‘Cello/Double Bass) Musician/Teacher. This is a permanent contract, working 4.5 days a week all year round.

Sistema Scotland’s vision is to improve lives and strengthen communities. We deliver our work through the creation of Big Noise programmes within communities, and currently run four programmes in Raploch in Stirling, Govanhill in Glasgow, Torry in Aberdeen and Douglas in Dundee.

You will work with children from pre-school, primary school and secondary school, as well as adults. Being creative in designing and introducing new ways of learning you will use the orchestra to grow children’s confidence, respect, aspiration, drive and understanding. As part of the team you will develop innovative ways to engage children and families, including home visits and community performances.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you must have experience of working with large and varied groups of children along with a track record of success in giving music instruction to children on your specialist instrument.
