Following continued success since the launch of Big Noise Douglas, we are looking for a Support Worker to join our team, to work with the after school programme:

2.45 – 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday (term time) and

4 hours a day, Monday to Thursday (school holidays)

Start time can be flexible (after school finishes) during school term time

This pioneering programme drew its initial inspiration from El Sistema in Venezuela and our vision is to transform lives with music. We deliver on our vision through the creation of Big Noise programmes within communities. Since its inception in 2007, the programme has grown and developed into a multi-faceted and immersive music education and social development programme which uses the orchestra as a learning community.

Big Noise Douglas runs an after school programme 4 days a week during term time and a holiday school 4 days a week during the Easter, summer and October holidays. The principal duties of a Support Worker at Big Noise Douglas is to support Big Noise musicians as they deliver the after school programme; participating in sessions, modelling engagement and attention for the children, and building strong relationships with the children to assist them in maximising their potential.
