Senior Project Officer, Active Travel Strategy

£27,804 per annum

Base: Glasgow City Council offices at least 4 days per week with possible flexibility to work from home a proportion of the time


About The Role

We now have an exciting opportunity to be part of a truly collaborative team, assisting in the delivery of shared priorities for active travel, developing, plans policies and proposals as set out within Glasgow City Council Active Travel Strategy and Sustrans-specific tasks related to the charity’s objectives. The role will be involved in liaising with funders, facilitating community / public engagement and initiating and supporting delivery of new / improved infrastructure.

About You

We are looking for someone with a relevant qualification or significant work experience in transport planning, land use planning, urban design, traffic engineering, sustainable transport project delivery or similar. You will have experience of working with local authorities, in community engagement or behaviour change projects and experience of project management and partnership working.
