Job Description

Live Life Aberdeenshire are looking for enthusiastic and experienced staff to deliver mountain activities from our new outdoor residential centre near Monymusk.

Candidates should have a passion for the mountains and hold a Mountain Leader award (summer). Mountain leaders can expect to lead groups of walkers over and around the numerous hills in Aberdeenshire. This may be from our Residential base or another agreed upon location. Instructors will also lead groups to deliver navigation sessions, orienteering and map and compass skills to Schools and Community Groups, in accordance to the National Governing Body ratios. Instructors may lead these groups solo or as part or a larger group with Outdoor Activity Assistants. Instructors may also support delivery of Low Hills courses.

Interviews expected to be held on 13th February 2024.

This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, which must be your current or most recent employer.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory
